I have a complaint.
This so called 'country' style of decorating a decor (and other things including quilt patterns) has nothing what so ever to do with people who actually live in the country. Old fashioned country folks, the ones that get up at 5 am to milk the cows, do not do things in a sloppy or slap dash fashion and there is certainly no attempt to 'cute-sify' everything. A sloppy or cute fence will not hold in live stock and a sloppy wall falls down. Lines are true, corners are square and things are solid and well made. In the old quilt patterns this was true also... the sloppy stuff has only occurred since the quilting renaissance when it was taken up by so many of us as a hobby rather than a thrifty necessity.
So why don't we call this what it really is? "Lazy cute" decorating.
My sincere apologies to any one who likes this style... this is only my personal opinion.
