Day 1889 Devil's Night Day
Oct. 30th, 2010 08:01 amI had planned to celebrate by taking Emily and perhaps one of her friends on the Eerie Express- a Halloween excursion run by the Railroad Museum in town but she messed up and didn't have good marks in behaviour at school. What sucks is that I was looking forward to it too.
So now I'm going to see Saw 3D with 80s this afternoon and let Emily and her best friend have a slumber party- complete with semi-scary movies, pizza, pop-corn, root beer and pumpkin pie. We'll be making the pumpkin pie which I hope is a fun activity for them. If not, I'll make it and they can run off and play dress up.
I'm loving the new fiber optic internet... also the not having to worry about using up a monthly allotment by watching videos on You-tube. A friend encouraged my to look up Mositure by the Residents- very odd! I think I liked The Act of Being Polite better.
Thursday I had off involuntarily... work is trying to make part time people only work part time hours right now. However, I got the rest of my Christmas shopping done, all of Mom's done and did the fall house cleaning. For about 5 minutes, I had a clean house with nothing that needed doing. Then I read half of "The Man Who Loved Books Too Much. It's quite good.
Shredder is earning her name- she shredded a cat toy that Emily had made. No real problem there- we have lots of fabric to make more. She is also being very amusing when she plays- she bounces like there is no gravity. I guess she's not much into obeying laws...
Very little quilting this week- I really haven't had the time- nor in truth, the inclination. I get like that sometimes and it's very frustrating for me- I want to quilt, I have the time to quilt and yet I fill up the time with something else and I can't figure out what's going on in my head that I do that.
