I have noticed that I must be feeling my oats tonight... I keep using exclamation points.
I did a foolish thing. I started a sales/swap page on sinandsalvation and on bpalmarketplace both. What I should have done is post it here and link to it from both of those. Ah, well, experience is a great teacher.
I also semi-goofed and imped out my entire bottle of Robin Goodfellow. I'm even sending the empty off to someone as a sniffie. I didn't mean to do that... I like that oil! But several people wanted to try it and I know it's not much out there yet and... Oh well. There's more on order from the Lab and maybe, just maybe, the turn around time will be as supersonically quick as the last order. They had it to me in two weeks, no joke! I've ordered all the characters from Midsummer Night's Dream (less Demetrius for whom there is, as yet. no oil) and have a bit of a plan to imp out sets... possibly for sale come Midsummer. (By the calender. Even the Lab at warp speed couldn't have them here in time for traditional Midsummer which would be Thursday.)
Emily is responsible for this plan, in part. Midsummer Night's Dream is one of her favorite movies (yeah, well, she's only 9. When she gets around to discovering that books are better, the book is here too. If she wants to read the leather-bound copy though, she has to wash her hands. It's white. What was I thinking?) She sniffed Robin and liked him so much and then asked me "But where's Hermia?" So at least one set of imps will end up no farther away than the bedroom next door.
Elizabeth went to dinner with her boyfriend for the evening so Emily and I had a nice little supper all to ourselves. To semi-celebrate without actually saying what we were or were not celebrating, we had fillet (Marchand de Vin sauce) and baked potato and salad with cheesecake for dessert. She pronounced it yummy and usually when I cook "fancy" she hates it. I invited 80s for dinner too but he's already eaten. You missed one of the better ones, hon. But we'll make curry soon... it's about time.
I haven't been sewing at all, lately and I must get back into it. For one thing, I need to make my brother's quilt tout suite! For another, it really de-stresses me and I need to work on that. I also need to finish the bedside rug for my room. And I have all these lovely quilt tops... and more patterns in my head... I just need more hours in the day, I swear.
Malfoy (the ferret) did something funny yesterday. I had finished the load of dishes in the dishwasher and opened it up to dry, pulling the bottom rack out to keep the door open. I don't know why I didn't pull the top rack out... laziness or possibly I got distracted... but a couple of minutes later I heard Malfoy banging around in the kitchen. Now, my kitchen is quite small and there really isn't anything to bang around so I went in there to see what he was up to. He had climbed into the dishwasher (which is, for him, quite a feat. He's not a very good climber, for a weasel) and he was stretched out in the middle of the top rack between the rows of glasses. I wish I had had the presence of mind to get a picture, but I didn't. I just hoisted him out and put more soap in and ran the darned thing again. (In the middle of a drought when I am trying to conserve water!) Then he went in and begged Emily (who was taking a bath) to pet him... maybe he was begging to get into the bath with her. Eliz usually bathes him in the shower and he's about due, maybe overdue, for a bath. When that didn't work, he tried to climb in the washing machine while I was doing laundry. Poor lil guy! Looking all over the house for a way to bathe... it all comes of being white, I guess.
In other animal notes, the cats all like bpal... especially Mme Moriarty and Gypsy Queen. They come and huff me when I put those on. I was sitting on the sofa today and all three of them came up at once and were sniffing me and rubbing me and purring. They think the Alpha-Cat smells good! And here I thought the 13 with the catnip was going to get me licked to death... I think they like Mme Mo even better.
