wren08: (Unplugged Summer)

Emily and I went to the 4 Bridges Art Festival last year and had such a good time that we went back this year. Most of the art is so far out of our price range that it's unthinkable to bring any of it home but we still had a great time looking at it all and spending the day together.

I was totally foolish and forgot to charge my camera battery last night so I was only about to get pictures of the first third of the highlights but I collected cards from the rest of the artists who especially impressed me and, if they have a website, I'll post a link.

These first pictures are the exhibit of Thomas Spake studios and that's Mr Spake in the first one- he kindly allowed me to take pictures of his work.

I just loved that piece of sculpture- although I can only imagine what the cats would do to it if I had brought it home.

This is where my camera ran out of battery. By turning it off, I was able to get two more pictures by the time we left:

Young Artists:
P4170049

and the sidewalk art made by the kids:

P4170050.

There was, of course, food and wine and music. The wine was nothing special, Emily didn't much like her Strawberry smoothy but the crepe I had (mushrooms and Monteray Jack cheese) from Crêpe a Delic was fantastic!

After the batteries ran out in my camera, I collected business cards hoping I could find some websites with a few pictures to show the rest of our day... and possibly for other reasons. (I still want the treasure box!)

This is one Emily especially liked by Rone Prinz
