wren08Well, now I know why I've been feeling lousy.
Night before last Emily asked me to sleep with her, which I did, and about 1 am she began burning up and hurting... headache, sore throat etc. So I took Friday off (not that it was a big deal, they never opened the store) and took Emily to the doctor. Strep throat. Which I also probably have since I do stupid things like finish her dinner and sleep with her from time to time. I love our peditrician... she wrote a script for Emily and wrote another one for me without even bothering to test me. (This is helpful since I don't have a doctor for myself and no one in my life right now cares enough to twist my arm to go to one if I did. I don't go without massive arm twisting.)
I do discover that I don't have any friends locally... just acquaintances I hang with sometimes. If a friend of mine said that they were sick, my reaction would be 'what can I do to help?'. The reaction I have gotten from everyone is more along the lines of cockroaches scattering when you turn on the light.
