Dad would have been 93 today. Hard to believe it's been four years-
In any event, it's still my Dad's birthday and, even if he isn't celebrating wherever he's gone, I still am. Emily is in bed and I intend to finish up the last of the chores I have to do tonight and have an English Countryside bath and henna my hair. With coffee from Ireland, spiked with Irish Cream (St Brendan's- I've yet to find a St Patrick's Irish Creme!) I had intended to chat with tha1980s while celebrating but he's keeping a really early schedule now and when Emily is in bed, he's usually already asleep. (This is a good thing- sleep dep is possibly half of his physical problems!) So I'll put on the Celtic music that FG had in her LJ yesterday and rock out.
We all wore green today- I wore the beautiful Celtic Gate hairstick I got from my Switchwitch sometime back and Leipreachan perfume and Emily borrowed my green t-shirt to wear to school. It's amazing how closely it comes to fitting her! Yikes! My Irish shirt I reserved for me to wear after my bath.
In other news, Bitsy has gotten into something that cut her on the inside of her hind leg pretty badly. It looks awful but Mom opines that it does not need stitches- just looking after and antibiotic cream and keeping it clean.
The black dog has gone- we think someone heard about her on the radio and came and picked her up. Wish they had let us know though!
And there is a new traffic light at Parker's Gap. It's really very funny because we are all so used to it being a four way stop that people are stopping on a green light and then remembering and going on. Everybody's doing it- I hope everyone is laughing about it as I am instead of getting frustrated.
