Yesterday was a Jonah day.
First, I lost my grip on one of the bowls I make oatmeal in every morning- while it was full, of course- and it smashed and made a huge mess.
Then at work I discover that I'm scheduled an extra day off in the middle of the week.
And when I get home, there is no heat and the heating unit looks like it's buried under a snowbank, there's so much frost on it.
On the good side, the repairman got out to us before dinner and got us limping along. He couldn't fix it because it started raining and apparently it's a bad thing to pull the outside unit apart in the rain. So I scheduled for him to come back on my suddenly needed day off. I'm hoping that I can also get to the post office that day and mail out a package for someone as well as my overseas Christmas cards.
Since it's not nearly as cold as it has been (rain is good for something) I'm going to try and work out in the sewing room tonight and whip that mess into shape and maybe even get started on the mending.
