I have been looking at my past journal entries for working the house. I notice that I estimated that it would be 2016 before it was done. Um. I'm working on the last room now! Better than I thought by a lot.
Ok, there are still a few things I need to do besides finishing this room. I need a new bedside table. I need to replace the bathroom cabinet doors. I need to repair the treadle sewing machine in the attic and move it down to the sewing room (not in that order!). But after that, the interior of the house will be finished!
And then I can work on the porch, steps etc. outside.
So far, I have been working on this house- slowly but with measurable progress- since March 1, 2005. 6 rooms in 5 years (assuming I get this one finished before March 1 next, of course). That's not too shabby for an almost-middle-aged woman who works full time and takes care of her kids.
