Yesterday was a very social day- which means that I didn't get nearly as much accomplished as I intended but I have today for that.
The windscreen did get replaced and since it only took them about an hour, we took recycling in after that. One of our regular guys was there, the other was a substitute who really did a number on my head- I was freaking for at least half an hour afterwards.
Then Emily and I went for lunch with an old friend of mine from college- Emily was maxed out hyper all day and he came out to the house and stayed until after dinner. It would have been better if we could have had a couple of hours to actually catch up- but because Emily was so very right there, we didn't get to so much so we caught up on music and movies and TV. We've still got very similar tastes which is really nice. Eliz came for dinner as well- she's doing well but needed to borrow the scanner and printer and pick up her mail.
Eliz brought in a package from Mom's and it was from zenkitty- the entire first season of Dexter! I have been so wanting to see that. Really, sweetie, you shouldn't have.
So of course, I called to thank her (and to chat because chatting with zenkitty is on my list of ten favorite things in the world) and we had a lovely long talk including tossing about a new invention. She has this fabulous idea for an airport carry on bag that is wheeled and automated to follow an electronic signal so that you can turn it on and have it follow a transmission unit in your pocket. It would be ideal for people who don't have their hands free for whatever reason.
This has to be made- it really does- because you know, she has invented the Luggage!
In a total aside, I ordered a few samples from Possets and Woobie :D I've been meaning to do that for forever but hadn't gotten around to it until yesterday morning.
Okay- still have to call Jim back (he called while I had company) and sweep and watch Dexter and quilt. Busy, busy, busy!
