Day 2178 Your face will freeze that way
Jan. 10th, 2010 08:05 amWhen we were kids and made a horrible face, some well meaning adult would say "Your face is going to freeze that way" or words to that effect.
In the ensuing years, I have decided that they were right.
As we get older, we inevitably etch our most common expressions into lines on our faces for anyone with eyes to read. There's the chronic worry lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows, the crinkle around the eyes of a person who smiles often, the inevitable downward turn of the corners of the mouth on a chronic frowner. "Stories are painted in the lines on your face", indeed!
So just keep making that expression- your face is going to freeze that way.
