Two whole days off.. in a row! Whatever will I do with myself? (Actually, I know exactly what I will do with myself. I'll do chores. I'll play with Emily. I'll quilt. And I'll talk to friends on and off line.)
My clock is still messing up. This moves me to foul language and violent behavior. I'm going to take it and find out just how much it will cost to get it fixed. I can't afford it, I know, but I also can't afford days and days of my time spent uselessly thumping the clock every two minutes.
Work yesterday was wonderful! It was easy and fun... I learned how I can best help the therapists in some ways (more to come, I'm sure) and scheduling was so much easier than I guessed it could be. I still have to learn all the ins and outs of the computer system... but I had a request for a set of receipts from a client... and I was the only one who could figure out how to make them print off properly.
An added benefit... I didn't want to smoke. In 6 hours I only had one cigarette and that wasn't desperate, I could have skipped it. I may be able to quit with a job like this!
Obviously, I am very set up. I love this job.
In the evening we had the fall carnival at school... moved indoors because of the rain. It was loud and crowded and hot. The pizza was cold and the coke was flat. But I think Emily had a really good time, mostly, and it was so nice to be able to take her. I didn't even have to change or shower before we went, which was so very nice.
When we got home, Emily went to bed (it was already too late for her to be up) after winding down a little bit and 80s came for a visit and to load more games up on my computer. This makes Liz very happy... I couldn't care less because I don't play computer games although I think it very sweet of him to share.
All in all, an almost perfect day.
