Angel
You are one of the few out there whose wings are
truly ANGELIC. Selfless, powerful, and
divine, you are one blessed with a certain
cosmic grace. You are unequalled in
peacefulness, love, and beauty. As a Being of
Light your wings are massive and a soft white
or silver. Countless feathers grace them and
radiate the light within you for all the world
to see. You are a defender, protector, and
caretaker. Comforter of the weak and forgiver
of the wrong, chances are you are taken
advantage of once in awhile, maybe quite often.
But your innocence and wisdom sees the good in
everyone and so this mistreatment does not make
you colder. Merciful to the extreme, you will
try to help misguided souls find themselves and
peace. However not all Angelics allow
themselves to be gotten the better of - the
Seraphim for example will be driven to fighting
for the sake of Justice and protection of those
less powerful. Congratulations - and don't ever
change - the world needs more people like you.

Okay, I just had to go see...

After I posted that last quilting entry, I got to thinking about some of the other, lesser things that I use for quilting...

I love
Aluminum foil... it's the only thing that keeps the cats from sleep on the quilt that's on the frame (which messes up the tension something fierce)

Reveal light bulbs. I put them in the fixture over the place where I quilt... much better colour, I can see better what I'm doing both with the colour and I can see my stitches better. (An aside on this, I have very good eyes, the difference might not be so noticeable to someone else.)

My over sized pin... kind of like a small hat pin. I think it was a corsage pin and then it lost it's head so I made it a new one from a bead of zebra wood I carved. I stick this in the quilt next to where I'm quilting and loop my scissor's handle over it... and hang my thimble on it when I'm not working. It keeps up with all my tools nicely and it's very mobile.

A paint can opener. It's the best thing I've found for tightening and loosening the eyebolts on the frame.

Emily got sent home from school again Wednesday... and then told me her stomach hurt Thursday. Since we were supposed to go see the doctor today, I let her stay home yesterday. Then the doctor called and rescheduled for next week... it seems that they're moving their office. So we'll have to just keep trying to deal with Emily's behavior problem naturally.

I had company until late last night... so very relaxing to sit up half the night talking! I think that rests me better than sleep sometimes.

I was going to have company again today but the weather forecast is prohibitive which is too bad. Oh well, next time, I hope.
