Day 4828

I have found out that, over the weekend, my Dad collapsed and went to the hospital. He's making light of it but the last news I had from my brother was that he had a lung infection of some description. I wish I were not so far away!

Other than that, I'm very tired and thus depressed.

Day 4828 Update

I just heard from Dad... he's home and he sounds okay. And he tells me that my brother has asked, as his birthday present, for Dad to move to Memphis. Which would at least be in the same state and would be close enough for my brother to look in on him. I seconded it resoundingly and I hope it happens!

I love my brother!

Right now I need about 8 hours of sleep... Elizabeth let one of the cats out just at bedtime last night and it was after 1:30 before he came back in. I couldn't catch him... he got away to quickly... so I had to wait up. With the nightly news (which I almost never watch) warning you not to leave pets outdoors last night lest they freeze. So I didn't get much sleep.

I could use 8 hours of snuggles too but I'll have to make do with about 6 hours and the cats... they're warm and they love me but they are furry!
